I am a 1993 graduate of Bethel College.  Upon graduation, I taught second and third grades in PHM School Corporation in Mishawaka, Indiana, where I, as a child, attended school as well.  I began teaching in CPS in the year 2000.  For the first seven years here, I was the Title I teacher for grades 3-5.  Now, for the last five years, I have been a Fourth Grade classroom teacher.  Teaching only Social Studies and Writing this year is brand new to me.

I have two sons, Matt and Mike, enrolled at White Pigeon Community Schools.  Matt is a senior, and Mike is a sophomore.  Both boys are great students and incredible athletes.  Matt has just received and accepted a full ride scholarship to Northwood University playing basketball.  My husband, Gary, and I have been married for four years.  He has a son, Chad, and two daughters, Jamie and Shelli.  All of them are married and between his three children and their spouses, we have four grandchildren, Brett, Cole, Morgan and Zander, and two more on the way. My family is very active as we enjoy boating, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing and biking.  We are big sports fans and enjoy hunting, too.

I believe I have the greatest job on Earth!  Working with students, teaching them to grow in their academics, and helping them to develop into a person with great character makes my job like no other!
