Expectations and Goals

  1. FAMs are expected to attend school. You must minimize absences for medical appointments and extended vacations. Attendance at school is required and effective immediately.
  2. Select FAMs are required to attend all FAST (Freshmen Advisory Student Teams) sessions for the full academic year unless approved by FAM advisors. If your absence from FAST is unauthorized or if you have been absent for an extended period of time, you must contact your FAM advisor.
  3. Attendance at Freshman Orientation and team building days are required for all FAMs.
  4. Attendance at all FAM meetings (before, after, or during school) through the year is required for each FAM. If you neglect to attend any meeting you must report the following to your FAM advisor:
    1. Report your absence before the meeting if possible.
    2. Provide a reason, not an excuse.
    3. Be responsible for all information received in the meeting.
    4. Pick up all handouts and papers from your FAM advisor.
    5. Consequences for unauthorized absences will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
  5. All FAMs are expected to follow the academic code of conduct. If a FAM is caught cheating or lying in regards to academic subjects, it will result in dismissal from the FAM program.
  6. FAMs are expected to develop and nurture a respectful relationship with their FAM advisor and each student in their FAST.
  7. FAMs are role models for the entire student body at Constantine High School. As a result, FAMs are expected to maintain good grades, behave appropriately in and out of school, abide by all Constantine High School rules and regulations, abide by all FAM rules and expectations, and DRESS appropriately throughout the entire school year.
  8. FAMs are expected to be role models in and out of the classroom. A FAM who has poor behavior may be dismissed from the program. Consequences will be determined by the FAM advisors on a case-by-case basis.
  9. FAM grades will be monitored weekly. Attendance and discipline patterns will also be monitored. Deficiencies in attendance, grades, and behavior will be dealt with by the FAM advisors on a case-by-case basis.
  10. Failure to meet any of these expectations may result in dismissal from the program.
